5.0/10

I had a decent stay at Hotel Elite, but there were definitely some hiccups. The location was perfect and offered stunning views of the Matterhorn which made up for some of the downsides like cleanliness issues in the room. Overall, it felt overpriced for what I received, especially given the state of the amenities.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a nice balcony and a good shower, but it wasn't the contemporary style I was expecting. It was quite small for three beds, and cleanliness was lacking with a stained duvet and questionable towels upon arrival.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially at the reception. However, the service was inconsistent, as I found myself waiting for staff on several occasions, which made my experience a bit frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location was unbeatable, just a few minutes from the train station and in the heart of Zermatt. It felt really convenient to be close to shops and restaurants, yet surprisingly quiet.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had the basics like bread, cheese, and cereals, which was decent but didn’t really stand out compared to other places I’ve stayed. It was more than adequate, making it a good start to my day, though.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some useful features like ski storage with boot warmers, which I appreciated after a day on the slopes. However, the overall facilities felt more basic than I expected for the price.

5.8/10

My stay at Hotel Elite was quite the mixed bag. while the location was unbeatable and the views of the Matterhorn were stunning, my room didn’t live up to the contemporary style advertised. The rates were higher than expected due to a local event, and I definitely expected more for the price I paid. However, I appreciated the helpful staff and the cozy atmosphere they created.

Rooms
6.0
The room I received didn't match the contemporary style advertised. it felt more like a basic motel rather than a 3-star hotel. The cleanliness was commendable, but I was disappointed with the outdated decor and lack of certain amenities.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff was really accommodating. they were friendly and made efforts to help when I had an issue with my ski boots being taken by another guest. They also provided useful local insights, which I appreciated.
Location
9.0
I loved the location! It was just a short walk from the train station and close to restaurants and shops. truly perfect for wandering around Zermatt. Getting to ski lifts was very convenient too.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent. while it wasn't extensive, I enjoyed the basics offered. The staff could make eggs upon request, which added a nice touch, but overall, I expected a broader selection for the price point.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had a nice sauna and ski storage with boot warmers. though it was a bit lacking in other facilities. Having laundry services and tour assistance was a plus, but I felt some amenities were missing to boost my overall experience.

6.8/10

My stay at Hotel Elite was quite nice. The location near the train station made it convenient for exploring Zermatt, and the views of the Matterhorn from my room were amazing. However, the furnishings felt a bit dated, and the breakfast selection, while decent, could have been more varied.

Rooms
7.0
I appreciated having a charming little balcony with a table, perfect for enjoying the fresh mountain air. The room was comfortable and clean, but I wish the decor was more contemporary, as what was advertised didn’t quite match the reality.
Service
9.0
The staff, especially Marianne and Annalena, were amazing at making me feel welcomed and quickly helping with any questions I had. They even offered a discount during my extended stay due to flight cancellations.
Location
8.0
Being so close to the train station and within walking distance of downtown was a major plus. However, noise from a bar nearby was a slight downside. It’s a vibrant area that’s perfect for exploring and getting to the ski lifts.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had some nice touches, such as fresh bread and options for made-to-order eggs, though the variety was somewhat limited. Overall, it was a pleasant start to the day.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered useful amenities, including ski storage and a lovely area to relax, but overall the facilities felt a bit basic for the cost.

5.4/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Elite. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and close to local shops and restaurants. However, my room did not match the modern style depicted online, leading to some disappointment. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, I found the breakfast to be quite basic and the noise levels from other guests were bothersome at times.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in lacked the contemporary feel I expected from the hotel’s online photos. It was clean, but felt more like a hostel than a 3-star hotel. I appreciated the view from my room, which included a nice balcony, but I was hoping for a more stylish and updated atmosphere.
Service
7.0
The staff, especially Tamara, were truly friendly and helpful during my stay. They assisted with my luggage and made recommendations for activities around Zermatt, which was great. I felt welcomed, although there were times I noticed a lack of staff present, especially during busy hours.
Location
9.0
The location of Hotel Elite is amazing, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and in the heart of Zermatt. It made exploring the town incredibly easy! I loved being within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, which made my stay very convenient.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent but limited. There were some breads, cold meats, and cheeses, and you could request eggs, but I was hoping for a bit more variety, especially considering the region's reputation for good food. It served its purpose, but I think there’s room for improvement.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered basic amenities like ski storage and boot warmers, which are essential for ski trips. However, facilities like the sauna could use clearer hygiene guidelines, as I noticed some guests not adhering to expected rules. Overall, the facilities were okay but not really good.

On the plus side, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed during my stay.
